Chatterbox marks a grand return after 5 months of renovation, celebrating its Golden Jubilee last year (51 years) with a brand-new space, menu and dining experience, located at level 5 of the newly minted Hilton Singapore Orchard.
Diners can partake in a new menu of inventive iterations of Asian specialties, with signature dishes such as the legendary Mandarin Chicken Rice, and Lobster Laksa, or the rick in wok hei favourites of Seafood Hokkien Mee, and Beef Hor Fun, as well as evergreen must-haves- Chatterbox Rojak and Signature Coconut Ice Cream.
The entrance walkway leading into Chatterbox is a botanical mural depicting local floral and fauna by local artist and illustrator Tan Zi Xi with her Instagram handle @messymsxi, it is a continuous narrative of a similar mural commissioned for Chatterbox Hong Kong, this elegant illustration depicts Singapore’s local greenery.
The interior is characterised by a soothing and inviting palette of woody browns, pastel green and creamy hues, the understated and chic restaurant exudes a relaxing and calming vibe –sun-lit by day, and intimate and cosy by night.
Perfect for a family meal, a get-together with friends, celebrations, date nights, or even business meals. With the many types of seating from booths to counters, or private dining room, they have got you covered. Some quirky design elements that are distinctly Singaporean are also cleverly incorporated into the space –such as old-school ventilation blocks which serve as partitions, and white square tiled tabletops that are a nod to the familiar HDB void deck tables.
Chatterbox’s 15-seat bar area – an intimate spot that you can order a pre-meal tipple such as Chatterbox’s Punch, that is a 21-day infused gin with banana, chilli, cinnamon, vanilla, and lemon, along with other delicious cocktails, craft beers, wines and champagnes of course. (Mar 2022)
