Proud Spaces is a career fair meant to showcase companies ready for a more inclusive Singapore! It is Chope's initiative under Pink Fest, a two-week long festival of LGBTQ-friendly events.
You're required to pre-register here or register at the door in order to enter the event space. Feel free to bring your name card to speed up the process!
Yup, Proud Spaces is completely free!
Yes. Because this event is not associated with Pink Dot, everyone, including foreigners are welcome.
Definitely.
Yes of course! Come find out about these companies regardless, and if you're already at a company open to being more inclusive, you could come away with ideas for new policies.
Most companies will be referring applicants to online hiring portals, but attendees are of course free to bring resumes. It's unlikely to get hired at Proud Spaces, but you might score an interview.
Only if you want to! Proud Spaces is meant to be a casual, carnival-like setting for you to get to know companies, and companies to get to know you. If you're most comfortable in business wear, then feel free. But if you're more the chic-cash sort, that'll work too.
We're currently unable to confirm if there'll be mainstream media present on the day.
We'll be providing stickers on the day for attendees to highlight that they don't want to be in pictures or videos.
We'll do our best to prevent that from happening, but if it does happen, please approach any Chope team member (we'll be wearing Chope t-shirts) on the day and let us know so we can act on it!
