Working at Chope, it's hard to resist trying out new restaurants - and we don't. Here are some of the restaurants we personally discovered in the past two weeks and what we enjoyed there!

A great classic place for brunch, Chin Wen from the ChopeDeals Marketing team really enjoyed Atlas' Butterscotch Banana Pancake and raves that it's a definite must-try!
Dancing Crab is definitely not a stranger to anyone, but Irving from the Operations team swears by their Chilli Crab Bread Bowl. At $97 for 2 live crabs, it has a great value for money. In addition, the pomelo included in the Chilli Crab sauce cuts through the spiciness and richness of the dish, setting it apart from other recipes.
Jean, our GM headed down to Forbidden Duck to celebrate her Grandfather's birthday. She enjoyed their Seafood Rice in Aromatic Duck Soup (pictured above) as well as their Fish Mousse Stuffed in Lettuce with Preserved Clam Sauce. Both dishes caught her by surprise as she did not expect to like them at first glance.
A few of our team members went down to iO over the weekend and Hedy our Designer had a great time. She recounts that though all the dishes were enjoyable, the Stuffed Traditional Roman Schiacciata and Orecchiette pasta really stood out to her. Something she'd make a second trip back to iO for!
A few colleagues from the ChopeDeals team had Violet Oon for lunch the other day and came back raving about the Dry Laksa, Beef Rendang and Ngoh Hiang. Besides those dishes, be sure to try their Pulot Hitam with Coconut Ice Cream for dessert. The juxtaposition of the cold ice cream and warm Pulot Hitam really hits home.
If you ever make a trip to Rubato, make sure you try their Cold Angel Hair Pasta served with Hokkaido Scallops and Truffle. Named "A Gift from the Angels" for good reason. Hazel, from the Campaign Sales team never dines there without ordering a plate. She's a loyal customer of Rubato and also enjoys their Burrata and steaks.
Markus from the Operations team visited Yan for some dim sum but found himself enjoying their Braised ‘Mee Pok’ with Fresh Mushroom and XO Sauce. Yan's rendition of the traditional 'Mee Pok' is one of their signature items and the chefs actually make the noodles themselves, as they were unable to source for the perfect texture externally and decided to do it in-house. If you wish to try something a little different, head down to Yan for their Mee Pok!
