California style Mexican dining experience in Tsim Sha Tsui
This American style Mexican restaurant, with outposts in Tsim Sha Tsui, Sai Wan Ho, and Sai Kung, focuses on high-quality ingredients, with a splash of Mexicana. Order off their Cali-Mex Classics menu, featuring Burritos, Quesadillas, Tacos, Salads and the like! Our Chope pick though, has to be their Grilled Rib-eye with a side of Mexican Rice. It’s a luxurious rendition of a Tex-Mex classic. One more savvy Chope tip – imbibe Free Flow Homemade Chips and Salsa during the weekend brunch starting at just $238! Delicioso!
Authentic Italian cuisine with an unparalleled wine list in Wanchai
Looking for authentic Italian cuisine? We’re noshing our way at DiVino, where wholesome Italian cuisine emerges from a charming shop reminiscent of an old 1950s Italian grocery store. What to order? We love the Risotto Acquarello Tenuta Colombara and the Split Roasted Italian Piglet “Porchetta” Style. The former is tender and sweet, arriving in a decent serving size that can be shared between two people, whilst the later is filled with chunks of slow cooked pig awash with rich, red wine tomato sauce; it’s a definite crowd-pleaser. A gem in the jungle.
A modern American-style dinner house, Dan Ryan’s got our beach vibes going with delish apps that are begging (littoral-ly) to be caught. The Cajun Tiger Shrimps are plump and juicy, served with craft beer flavoured butter sauce. What’s more, the Lobster Crab & Shrimp Louie is a hearty, rich offering, combining the best of craft pale ale and a super-secret seafood broth. If you’re looking for beach-esque fare at wallet-friendly prices, Dan Ryan’s just might be the place for a seaside serenade.
Seafood lovers will enjoy the excellent Nippon-focused fare at Volcano, all the while saving a quick buck. Nestled in the heart of bustling Causeway Bay, Volcano Grill invites beach lovers to stop by and grill your own meat right at your table. The lightly seasoned Seafood Platter features crabmeat and shrimp, highlighting the natural sweetness (and saltiness) taste of the sea. Take advantage of the casual ambiance here – it’s the perfect venue for groupies, looking to share a plate (or ten) for that matter!
PizzaExpress has always been proud of their authentic British-Italian pizzas and modern Italian-inspired cooking, best enjoyed with a group of friends and family. Beyond Sloppy Guiseppe has to be our fan fave: red peppers, onions and vegetarian “beef” made from natural plant-based pea and soy protein. Looking for something a bit more light? The Leggera Superfood Salad is well executed with flakes of light mozzarella, slices of avocado, roasted pumpkin, beetroot and more! The well-stocked house wines means that it’s the perfect place to enjoy a glass of Pinot, Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Who’s counting?
Do they have beaches in Texas? A playful American burger joint in the heart of buzzy Electric Road in Tin Hau, Texas Burger reminds us of our fave beach classics. With an orange neon sign on the outside and a litany of Texas cowboy-themed wall art, Texas Burger (surfs) up sizeable chunks of hand cut fries with Aussie beef patties in the mix. Save some space for their epic Milkshakes – Tropical Forest, Beauty and the Peach, Triology of Chocolate – it’s your pick!
If you’re craving something a little bit different, opt in at TED’s Lookout, where mouth-stretching burgers are the norm, here. The tender, juicy combos in their Stack-Your-Own Burgers are true crowd pleasers, with a selection of 12+ sauces that add the most intriguing of flavours. The Grilled Chicken is juicy – in just the right bits – and has a splash of thyme and lemon. Pair your burger with some signature shots – Jack’s Honey Trade is hands-down our favourite! Bring your appetite and consider an ultimate burger degustation to be had!
