Perched on the 12th floor of the swanky St. Regis Bangkok, the floor-to-ceiling windows at the hotel’s bar offers a gorgeous view of the city’s skyline. It’s the perfect place to linger over classic cocktails, with live music playing in the background as the sun sets on the horizon. Come night time, the 14-metre long black marble bar and inviting leather couches are elegant spots to perch with a cocktail in hand. Classic cocktails are the focus here, and The St. Regis Bar takes pride in honouring the hotel’s lineage with drinks such as the Bloody Mary, first created in the New York outfit in 1934. Here, the tomato juice and vodka concoction is given a Thai twist with the addition of spices like lemongrass and chilli. You’ll also find cocktails exclusive to the bar here, such as the Stramakazee — strawberry-infused vodka with cherry cointreau, homemade pandan syrup, fresh lime and cinnamon sugar. (Dec 2018)
