Indian food is always an experience, and no one in Thailand does it better than Masala Art. With a menu of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, this spot is sure to have something on the menu for everyone. The elegant Mughal-inspired interiors, traditional tunes, and aroma of spices recreate a slice of India in the heart of Bangkok.
The beautifully-presented dishes are all tempting, but we love starting with the Prawn Salad, a unique dish of Tandoori prawns tossed with greens and chutney. The subtle spice of the chutney livens up the the dish, while the crunch of the greens and tender prawn meat contrast perfectly. Vegetarians who are tired of the paneer and potatoes in the main course should opt for the Chana Pindi, a tangy chickpea curry cooked Punjabi-style.
The Keema Mutter is sure to be a hit with non-vegetarians. A unique dish of lamb and green peas cooked in masala, this dish is perfect with some fragrant basmati rice, but can also be enjoyed on its own. There are also four varieties of Hyderabadi biryani available for diners who prefer to stick to classics.
Popular with expats, locals, and tourists alike, this is one place where making a reservation is a must. (September 2018)

“If you’re lucky, and it’s a quiet night, then you’ll get the Indian head chef (formerly of the InterContinental and Hyatt in Delhi) to guide you through the menu and make generally excellent recommendations. The menu itself is broken down by art related references, so light bites, like the samosa keema (with lamb)—slightly dry despite the accompanying sweet sauce—become Soft Hues. But it’s First Impressions, covering tandoor dishes and appetizers, that is really the restaurant’s strong point. The barra kebab, is a highlight, delicious tender lamb that’s packed with an aromatic blend of spices. The rogani chicken tikka is also full of flavor and the meat is incredibly juicy.” - BK Now
