The Marriot Marquis’s gourmet buffet restaurant is a chic, vibrant wonderland filled with fresh seafood, smoky grilled meats, sushi, and other indulgences. Here, amidst handsome, wood-clad surroundings, you can browse the restaurant’s extensive raw bar that features freshly-shucked oysters, cold clams, mussels, Alaskan king crab, and plump tiger prawns. After an oceany appetizer, make your way to its grill stations. A Thai grill turns out fatty, sizzling Thai sausages and grilled pork, while a fiery Parilla grill cooks a whole suckling pig, carved out into delicious portions of tender meat, sinful fat, and shatteringly crisp crackling. For something less carnivorous, a sushi chef hand-rolls maki, nigiri sushi, gunkan sushi, and sashimi, and a colourful array of Thai sweets brings the culinary tour to a sparkling finish. The best part? Many of the ingredients are locally and responsibly sourced to ensure not just freshness and high quality, but less of a strain on the environment.
