“Be welcomed to the amazing world that is The Bistrot and allow yourself to forget the fast, modern world outside, to be at peace in an era of elegant sensuality.”
Discreetly situated behind a beautiful temple, and on the roadside of the very popular ‘Eat Street’ of the Seminyak area in southern Bali, this restaurant and bar has been conceptualised and lovingly put together by the formidable Morrocan and Belgian team of Zohra and Blaise. An impressive wooden and natural hewn stone air-conditioned yet high ceilinged open space, where guests immediately feel welcomed upon entering and reminded of a New York loft/factory space with a distinctly industrial feel. This is a where The Bistrot gives us a very metro meets retro feel.
For sure, the discerning décor along with the charming team of staff will make sure you completely feel at home, but the food here is what matters most. The Bistrot offers everything you've ever craved for. From their Petit-Dejeuner favourites like the Avocado & Eggs on French Rustic Toast, their vegetarian Rouleau De Printemps, Parisian Burger, and ending it with their Mille-Feuille.
For those looking to experience the trinity of great food, great price, and great ambience, look no further than The Bistrot to satisfy those cravings!

"Serving home-style food and afternoon teas, the Bistrot is a converted warehouse with an urban-industrial concept, complete with massive windows and an interior evocative of an Orient Express dining carriage" -Surface Asia
"The Bistrot has a particular style of its own, something between ancient, modern, retro and gone funky. The Chef has created a menu that crosses boundaries of Mediterranean culinary and are perfect for the Bali lifestyle." -FRV Travel
"With their distinctively idiosyncratic design DNA evident in the meticulously executed interior, the owners have created a memorable dining experience- evoking a retro-chic aesthetic that resonates harmoniously with the honest, French-accented cooking." -Asia Bars & Restaurants
"Any time of the day or night, whether for a drink with friends, a light lunch or a full three course meal with wine and followed by a lovely liqueur, Bistrot brings stylish interiors, a menu full of classic favourites and a well dressed bar to the party. And just quietly, one of my favourite bathrooms in Bali, even back of house has been well considered." -The Beat
"What is great about Bistrot is the spacious décor, the elegant seating and the casualness of the way it comes together, which is not to say it is casual, not at all. But it has an air of relaxation in its décor that says, 'Hey we know what’s good, we know what is style, but we don’t need you to feel we are pushing it at you.' Unassuming elegance is what it conveys thus making it the perfect destination for a dinner that is not yet of the romantic kind. You can see the menu, and the food on your plate, and the food is good, a really direct menu that incorporates elements of European and pan-Asian dishes, traditional ‘international’ fare with a rustic flair, and a killer Espresso Martini." -I-Magazine
"The French food here is fab but if it’s getting late you might want to sample a dessert—the Indonesian spiced panna cotta with passion fruit coulis and nougatine should give sugar lovers a satisfactory high." -Travel + Leisure
